Dr Onoagbe Henry Okosun - First Vice Chairman
Dr Henry Okosun is the immediate past Canuk Welfare Secretary is now Canuk First Vice Chairman. He is a consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist within NHS and in the Independent Healthcare Services. He is the Medical Director of Regency International Clinic London. He is the Responsible Officer to Care Quality Commission, Information Commissioner Office for Regency International Clinic Ltd.
He is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, British Medical Association, and Royal Society of Medicine and holds Masters of Medical Science Degree in Assisted Reproduction Technology and Master’s Degree in Leadership from Anglia Ruskin University UK. He has held various Leadership role within NHS & Independent Healthcare Sector. He has been a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecology in Nigeria, Saudi Arabia and currently in UK. Mr Okosun has several publications and original research in the medical specialty of obstetrics & gynaecology and clinical risk management.
Dr Okosun has acquired in-depth knowledge and experience of welfare activities within the Nigerian communities in UK because of his background training as a medical doctor and consultant obstetrician & gynaecologist, ten years at executive level in Club87 (PRO, Vice President and past president). He has organised several welfare activities for Canuk – Grenfell Fire disaster, Bereavement visitations, and conflict resolution for Nigerians who were distressed. He was a member of Canuk Publicity Committee (2015-2017). He has organised several welfare activities for Club87, setting up of Club87 Charity Trust and Club87 Youth Integration, Mentoring and Empowerment Seminars and programmes and current Chairman Organising Committee of Club87 Youth & Women Empowerment Programmes. He is a member of Medical Associations of Nigerians in UK (Mansag).
